For over 60 years the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) has honored America's fallen heroes days prior to Memorial Day by placing American flags at the headstones of servicemembers buried at Arlington National Cemetery. This tradition, known as "Flags In", has been completed this year to the highest standards. #DidYouKnow: The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) Presidential Salute Battery is responsible for rendering honors to visiting foreign dignitaries and heads of state at the The White House, the Pentagon and elsewhere in the #Washington D.C., area. The platoon also fires the final salutes during many funerals at Arlington National Cemetery and the platoon is the only unit of its kind in the #USArmy.
