The klipspringer is a small, mountain-dwelling antelope found in the rocky landscapes of eastern and southern Africa. Famous for its remarkable agility, it can leap effortlessly and balance on the narrowest ledges, thanks to its unique, rubbery hooves. These sure-footed antelopes usually live in loyal pairs, often seen watching over each other from high vantage points. Their young, known as fawns, are born in hidden rock crevices, where they remain safely tucked away during their first few weeks

A small type of antelope that only grows to around 40cm tall has been born at Longleat Safari Park. The Kirk's dik-dik calf was born to first time parents Daenerys and Dario, who have been residents at Longleat since 2020.
