The 35-year-old Tarkenton connects with Ed Marino for a four-yard gain, the 2,831st completion of his career, as Minnesota raises its record to 10-0 with a 28-13 victory over the 0-10 San Diego Chargers in Bloomington, Minnesota. Tarkenton will be voted the league's MVP this season. He will finish his Hall of Fame career in 1978 with 3,68
