Today, on Patriot Day, we remembered September 11, 2001 in age-appropriate ways around the district. At Shore Middle School, sixth graders learned about the history of 9/11 and discussed one powerful takeaway — that many heroes emerged that day. Students were then challenged to reflect on their own lives by writing about a real-life hero in their eyes. After starting their brainstorming and rough drafts on Chromebooks, they’ll be finishing their projects on paper & pencil, with the final pieces
