A manyatta is a traditional Maasai village, often made up of several small, circular houses called enkangs. These houses are constructed from mud, cow dung, and thatch, built by the women of the tribe. The walls are thick and sturdy, providing insulation from both the heat of the day and the chill of the night. The roofs are conical in shape, designed to shed rainwater and keep the interiors cool.
