Your dreads will feel light and fresh and clean and smell amazing. And it’s truly shocking to see the muddy water afterwards and what comes out. Unfortunately I don’t get that satisfaction because the water for me is bright red from stripping my hair dye out, but I still know soaking them gives them a deep clean. Ps get yourself

Part 2 of my maintenance routine! The deep soak 🤗 I think it’s incredibly important to get your dreadlocks maintained while they’re as clean as they can possibly be. This is for a few reasons - 1) excess oils can make it difficult for the loctician to maintain grip on their crochet hook which can result in less effective work & also increase the risk of cutting / nicking fingers. 2) if there’s dirt/oil whatever coating your hair when you get maintenance it will be less effective no matter how g
